CELEBRATING EARTH DAY

45 young people from different churches around Capetown celebrated Earth Day by hiking on the Beautiful Lions head. We started the hike with a reading from Psalm 24: “The Earth is the Lord’s” remembering that just as we consider the sanctuary in the church to be holy, so too is God’s Earth Who will ascend His holy mountain? The Earth, the mountains , the rivers are all Holy. And we said the Earth Day Prayer May the Earth continue to live May the heavens above continue to live May the rains continue to dampen the land May the wet forests continue to grow Then the flowers shall bloom And we people shall live again….

Green Anglicans blessed by Archbishop of Central

Young Green Anglicans from Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimb abwe wereblessed by Archbishop Chama, (Archbishop of Central Africa) and Bishop Bill Mchombo (East Zambia). They are taking their actions plans back to their countries, Dioceses and parishes. Pray for them as they start to implement their action plans. They are missionaries of the Fifth Mark of Mission – to strive to maintain the integrity of creation. Working for a united Anglican Church and a Green Africa! ‪#‎greenteam‬

Praising God at Victoria Falls!

Praising God for His marvellous Creation at Victoria Falls! Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me. Psalm 42 The Young Green Anglicans on the way back from the Lusaka Conference stopped on the way at Victoria Falls. We shared hospitality and wonderful times with our brothers and sisters at St Andrews Church, Livingstone and visited Victoria Falls. Rev Rachel Mash read the words of Psalm 42 Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls , all your waves and breakers have swept over me and Rev Mpho prayed for us to be good stewards of the precious gift of water in Africa. We have said goodbye to our friends from Angola, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi and Botswana. We commit ourselves to work for a united, green Africa.. Now we set off on our long safari to South Africa, Swaziland, Lesotho and Mozambique…
