CHILDREN AND YOUTH LEADERS TRAINING ON CARING FOR CREATION
The Anglican Diocese of the Free State hosted their annual Diocesan Sunday School Teachers conference in Botshabelo and the Provincial Green Anglicans Movement was invited to train teacher on the two Care for Creation manuals targeting young people (namely : Ryan the Rhino for children and Care for Creation youth manual ) both manuals are biblically based and are meant to equip our young to become agents of chance both in church and in the communities they stay in .
On this day the teachers became the kids the as Bino and Mokhobo facilitated the two sessions. One could not resist the amount of laughter and joy experienced by the teachers as they became like children. This day saw teachers run around, sing and debate on climate change. The Diocesan Sunday President said “We need to start teaching children at a early stage so that once they move on to other organisations in or outside church, their rooted in our programs.”
The Diocesan Sunday School will be having a special focus on Care for creation during their annual diocesan children’s conference were they will be expected to render an item using what they have learned from the two manuals .
