Celebrating Mary Sumner with Yellowwood trees

On the 9th of August, which is national Women’s day, the Mothers Union of Vryheid Archdeaconry in the Diocese of Zululand celebrated Mary Sumner day and as a part of Creation Care, they planted Yellowwood trees

Mary Sumner (31 December 1828—11 August 1921[1]) was the founder of the Mothers’ Union, a worldwide Anglican women’s organisation. She is commemorated in a number of provinces of the Anglican Communion on 9 August

This in the prayer of Mary Sumner

All this day, O Lord, let me touch as many lives as possible for thee; and every life I touch, do thou by thy spirit quicken, whether through the word I speak, the prayer I breathe, or the life I live. Amen.
