World Animal Day

The Diocese of the Libombos Anglican Church (Cathedral of St Augustine in Maciene) held a closing service for the Season of Creation, under the motto: WE VALUE THE ANIMAL IS YOUR HABITAT “, because on the 04/10th, it was World Animal Day and World Habitat Day was on 05/10.   This also corresponds to the day of Saint Francis, who is the patron saint of the ecology.   The service was presided over by the Dean of João Cruz Cathedral and the Green Anglican District Board   1 – Theme lecture: Importance of Animal and the Environment 2 – Planting of Shadow & Fruit Trees 3 – Ride to Nwaluti Lake.   The service was attended by 50 Believers.

Blessing of the animals at St George’s Cathedral

Blessing of the animals at St George’s Cathedral St George’s Cathedral extended its ministry into the  Company’s  gardens with the blessing of  animals on St Francis Day. Rev Margaret blessed our special companion animals. Marie–Anne Wannenberg who came for a blessing for her beloved cat Huey said “Our animals are part of God’s creation and as we are blessed through having them in our lives I think it is important for them to be blessed. They teach us unconditional love.”
