CELEBRANDO O DIA DO MEIO AMBIENTE EM MOZAMBIQUE
Dioceses across Mozambique celebrated the World Environment Day on the 5th of June with the theme “Time for Nature”
DIOCESE OF NAMPULA
The area of Cabo Delgado was badly hit by the Cyclone. Chimoio was the most affected village and it needs trees to protect it from the strong winds.
Led by Archdeacon Francisco , 200 trees were planted in the 3 hectares of land reserved for the constrution of an Anglican School. Muassite, the Diocesen Mission Director coached on how to plant and care for the trees.

DIOCESE OF LEBOMBOS
A tree planting ceremony was held in Maxixe – Inhambane. Trees had been planted at the Celebration of 50 years of Diocesan Youth, new trees were added and care given to the ones planted in the celebration – Rev Aurelio Uqueio
David Junior from Diocese of Lebombos was invited to speak on Media Mais TV – Juntos pela Manha programme, on the theme of “Preserving the Environment”
